Mark Knopfler brings together 54 Top Guitarists for a Charity single

Lead guitarist and singer/songwriter for Dire Straits Mark Knopfler, has brought together 54 guitar icons to record a version of his song "Going Home (Theme from Local Hero)”.

This charity single includes the likes of guitar royalty: Slash (Guns N' Roses), David Gilmore (Pink Floyd), Bruce Springsteen, Brian May (Queen), Tony Iommi (Black Sabbath), Pete Townshend (The Who), Alex Lifeson (RUSH), Ronnie Wood (The Rolling Stones), Joan Jett and more! 

Having some of the biggest names in rock music within this track, this charity single will be quite the showcase of musical talent. 

This version includes the final recorded guitar track by the late Jeff Beck (The Yardbirds), making this charity single even more special.

Guy Fletcher drove the production for this track and the tracks artwork was created by Sir Peter Blake. 

Not only was this track an ensemble of guitar legends, but it also featured additional instrumental by members from The Who, The Beatles and Sting to name a few.
