Lorde's rendition of 'Take Me to the River' has surfaced as the newest addition to the A24 Music compilation titled "Everyone’s Getting Involved: A Tribute to Talking Heads’ Stop Making Sense." This compilation marks a celebration of Jonathan Demme's legendary concert film, also named "Stop Making Sense," along with the 40th anniversary of its soundtrack album release.

Lorde's addition to the compilation stands out due to the unique context of 'Take Me to the River' being a cover itself, originally released by the renowned vocalist Al Green in 1974. Talking Heads' rendition in 1978, was a slower tempo, unexpectedly became a hit, reaching No. 26 on The Billboard Hot 100. Lorde brings her own innovative interpretation to the song with a fresh perspective.

Lorde shared her experience with hearing Talking Heads for the first time.

"Everyone's getting involved..." is the perfect title for this tribute album with 16 artists across the tracks. Artists like The Cavemen, Miley Cyrus and Paramore all releasing covers. Paramore kicked off this project with their power-packed version of 'Burning Down the House'.
