The band's residency run marked their first concerts in the U.S. since 2018 and made them the first artists to perform at the newly opened MSG Sphere.

The band have just announced that they will be returning to the stage next year - February 23 & 4, as well as March 1 & 2, to wrap up their residency.

U2 hasn’t played live since December 2019 and we need to get back on stage and see the faces of our fans again. And what a unique stage they’re building for us out there in the desert…

We’re the right band, ACHTUNG BABY the right album, and Sphere the right venue to take the live experience of music to the next level,” U2’s Bono said in a statement announcing the residency earlier this year.

U2 also recently paid tribute to Pogues frontman, Shane MacGowan, who passed away aged 65 on December 1st.

They played a heartfelt rendition of the Pogues’ song “A Rainy Night In Soho” from their 1985 album Rum Sodomy & The Lash. Watch the performance below.
