Dave Grohl confirms 'new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage'

Dave Grohl recently welcomed a new baby outside of his marriage, the musician revealed in a statement this morning.

He posted his statement on Instagram to announce the birth of his newborn daughter and to state that he aimed to regain the trust of his wife and their children.

“I recently became the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage,” Dave said, without offering additional information about his newborn baby or the baby's mother in the statement. “I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness. We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.”

Dave married wife Jordyn Blum, 48, in August 2003 in Los Angeles, California, and in the last two decades, the Foo Fighters star and his wife have welcomed three daughters together: Violet, Harper and Ophelia, ages 18, 15 and 10, respectively. PEOPLE noted in a previous report that Jordyn previously worked as a model and a TV producer, and worked on a few Foo Fighters projects with Dave.
