Black Caps limited overs captain Kane Williamson has turned down a New Zealand Cricket (NZC) central contract in a bid to prolong his career.
The 33-year-old will instead sign a casual playing contract, meaning he will have the opportunity to cash in playing overseas T20 cricket, as seamer Trent Boult did in recent years.
